Via Transilvanica
Via Transilvanica, "the road that unites", is a long-distance tourist route of 1,400 kilometers that crosses Romania diagonally, from Putna to Drobeta Turnu Severin and is intended for hiking, cycling or horseback riding.
The route crosses ten counties, including Caraș-Severin, the cultural-historic land here being found in Via Transilvanica under the name of Terra Banatica.
The road passes through more than 20 localities in Caraș-Severin county, as follows:
Băuțar - Marga - Zăvoi - Oțelu Roșu - Glimboca - Obreja - Turnu Ruieni - Buchin - Bolovașnița - Bucoșnița - Brebu Nou - Văliug - Caransebeș - Târnova - Reșița - Caraşova - Bozovici - Prigor - Lăpuşnicel - Iablița - Cornereva - Cornea - Mehadia.
