European Route E8

In Romania, the E8 enters at Sighetu Marmații, crosses over 1300 km of the Eastern and Southern Carpathians and exits to Serbia at the Iron Gates.

The route is one that has a great difficulty in certain areas, and from place to place, the route also crosses areas with a rich cultural heritage and some of the most visited natural tourist attractions in Romania.

In its 1312 km length, Route E8 passes through Caraș-Severin County through the Domogled-Valea Cernei National Park, reaching the Iron Gates, where it exits Romania, towards Serbia.
