The 'Colț de Rai' Guesthouse in Semenic is located in an exceptional setting, namely in the Semenic Mountains, a mountain range in the Banat Mountains, part of the Western Carpathians. It is considered the water castle of Banat, giving rise to the rivers Timiș, Nera, and Bârzava. Stretching approximately 34 km from Caransebeș to the Valea Minișului in the northeast-southwest direction, and about 31 km from west to east, between the localities of Cuptoare and Sadova Veche, the Semenic massif is renowned for its ski slopes with a tradition in this sport.
