The Orthodox Church "Saints Archangels Michael and Gavril" in Reșita was built in the period 1872-1884, and in 1985 it was moved. The operation of moving the over 2,000-ton container was carried out in 23 hours, over a distance of 55 meters, with the help of rails.
The church is also known as Petru Iacob Church, after the name of a shop owner in that area.
