About
It is a monumental construction built in Byzantine style. The archpriest Iosif Ieremia having a great contribution in doing it. The Cathedral was sanctified by P.S. Vasile Lăzărescu.

The wooden church from Calina is located in Dognecea commune in Caras-Severin county and is a historical monument. It was originally built in Ciudanovița, and from there it was taken to Greoni to reach Calina in 1780.
The constructive system used to build the church is also found in other churches in Banat, being known as "Fachwerk" (the timber frame system or in popular parlance, the "puppy" system). This system was invented with the aim of saving wood, the places of worship built after it having the outer walls covered with plasters of earth mixed with chaff and chopped straw.

Hermitage "St. Dionisie Exiguul" - Bucova is the first monastic settlement in the Romanian Patriarchate with this patron, being founded by the Ghiorghioni family, in memory of their son Dionisie.
The monastic settlement is located in a special natural setting, the church of the hermitage being distinguished by its construction in the Moldavian style.
There is also a body of cells here, built for the monks who live in this hermitage.

The Roman Catholic Church in Oravița is a historical monument and was built between 1718-1722, being consecrated only in 1936. The church is built in provincial baroque style.
Emperor Karol VI donated to the church on the occasion of its consecration, a wood chip of the Cross of Christ, from Jerusalem.
Inside, the altar painting depicting the Crucifixion was made in 1774 by the painter Wagenchon.

It is one of the most famous, most visited and most picturesque viewpoints of the resort.
The cross is on a rocky spur, 529 m above sea level, above the historic center.
From here you can admire the panorama of the Herculaneum Baths and the Cerna Mountains.
The route to the Cross is accompanied by several markings (yellow strip, red and blue triangle, blue cross).

The Brebu Monastery is located on the main road that makes the connection between Caransebes and Resita, between the communities of Brebu and Soceni. It is placed on a small plateau of a special beauty.
In 1997, at the initiative of the mayor of Brebu, Mr. Ioan Pacurariu and with the help of Toma Itariu’s family who donated the land (2 hectares) in a place called "Valea Popii” (The Valley of the Priest), the foundation of a monastic settlement was established. The building of the hermitage was done step by step starting with a modest wood building. The other buildings were gradually built.

Monument built in 1936, in the memory of the heroes of Banat in the struggle for reunification. Initially, the cross was composed by 8 fir trees with a length of 25 m. The new cross (2004) made of steel structures, is illuminated at night (having its own system of electricity generation), being visible even from Timisoara, when the weather is fine.

The foundation stone was laid on the 2th of July 1939 by the dean Isaia Suru, the deanery manager of Caransebes. The works started immediately and the construction went so fast that the Church was finished in October, 1939.
The Hermitage is located at 1550 meters upon the sea level, being built from carved wood beams. It has 9 meters length and 8 meters wide and the dome has a height of 20 meters.
