About

The casino, built in Baroque style by the Austrian architect Carl Wilhelm Christian Doderer in 1864, recalls the elegance of Vienna's imperial aristocracy, including a sumptuous performance hall, restaurant and a bazaar with 14 vaults and 12 imposing windows. Upstairs is the "Silver Hall", the place where the elites gathered to indulge in gambling.

Opulent balls were held on the terrace of the Casino in the resort on the bank of the Cerna, where the aristocrats danced the waltz under candlelight, recalling the imperial splendor of Vienna. The special evenings of the time proved to be a precious source of inspiration for artists, the composer Jakob Mathias Pazeller dedicating a waltz piece to this building in 1903.
