The Cathedral "The Resurrection of the Lord" and "St. Proroc Ilie Tesviteanul" from Caransebeş is located in the civic center and was consecrated on September 12, 2010, by the Blessed Father Daniel.
The construction is made in Byzantine style, having a wooden iconostasis.
The place of worship represents the fulfilled dream of the first Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Miron Cristea, during the pastorate of the Eparchy of Banatul Montan.
