Route Băile Herculane-Platoul Coronini-Cracul lui Arendasu-Poiana cu Peri
Distance: 2.2 km
Duration: 2 hours
Marking: Red dot
Degree of difficulty: Medium
The entrance to the route from Băile-Herculane resort is made from Zăvoiului street. At this point begins a wagon road that climbs approximately 250 m on the left bank of the Valea Mare stream, then follows several wider serpentines to the Coronini Plateau. The clearing "Platoul Coronini" is not in the national park, but it is surrounded by it.
From the upper end of the clearing the route leads to a path. It goes through the gardens, passes by the Coronini Spring, descends to the bottom of the Great Valley for a short time, and then climbs up Cracu lui Arendaşu. On Cracu lui Arendaşu the path has a difficult character because the route climbs directly on the slope to the point where it intersects the ridge path marked with red tape. From this point it is not far to the final point, Poiana cu Peri.
