Natural attraction
Cheile Nera-Beușnița Cheile Nerei National Park - Beușnița hides a treasure: "Acapulco Beach Nera", probably the only beach on the Nera River, an unexpectedly beautiful place. From the Beiului Bridge, go through La Tunele, until you pass the sixth tunnel and follow a path to the left towards Nera (approx. 30 minutes from the Beiului Bridge). As you descend the path and reach Nera, suddenly this oasis appears, as if torn from the movies. In the middle of nature we find a sandy beach, the Nera river and on the opposite bank a steep rock that perfectly complements the landscape. A very interesting tourist attraction and for the fact that you go through the tunnels to get there, which perfectly completes the experience. Text & photo source

Tourist resort
One of the most famous Banat destinations, Herculane Baths Resort, stood out worldwide for its thermal waters that date back to the period of the Roman occupation.  The waters are famous for the high concentration of hydrogen sulphide, chlorine, calcium and other beneficial elements.  In 2011, the place was declared a spa resort. The Herculaneum Baths, a refuge where therapeutic waters and fresh air reign, are considered by tourists to be a corner of heaven where they can relax and heal both body and soul.   You can still admire the old buildings of the area that were built in the Baroque style where you can take a look at the historical past of the resort. Members of the royal family of the Habsburg Empire used to rest in these noble houses. Continue to discover unmissable tourist attractions in Baile Herculane.

Leisure activity
The Venera Baths are a tourist attraction with curative properties. These baths have been known since the Roman period, but during the Austro-Hungarian period the Venera spring was rediscovered. Initially, it was used for the hygiene of soldiers, but research on its water revealed that it has twice the amount of sulfur per liter of water compared to other springs. In the past, venereal diseases were very common, specialists discovered that this spring treated these diseases, the sulfur in large quantity having a sterilizing effect. The spring was named Venera, after the diseases it treated. In addition, the water of this spring is also used to treat rheumatic conditions. photo source text source

Leisure activity
The story revolves around some basins arranged along the Cerna River, which flows through the beautiful resort of Băile Herculane. In these pools, called 'cădițe' (small tubs), thermal water is collected directly from the ground. If you don't have a doctor's recommendation, specialists advise not to stay in these tubs for more than 10 minutes. This place is one of the most sought-after in the resort, considering that it is outdoors, and the waters are thermal, rich in therapeutic properties for the human body, such as iodine, sulfur, bromine, and many others. Access here is quite easy if you follow the signs on the roads in the resort, and a few hundred meters away is a renowned restaurant in the area where you can try traditional food or have a coffee while admiring the mountain landscapes offered by the mountains surrounding it. Also, a few meters away is the base of the mountain trails in the Cerna Mountains that lead to their ridge road. The thermal waters of Băile Herculane are renowned for their therapeutic effect, known since Roman times, and even Empress Sissi of Austria, the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph, relaxed here.

A historical monument of national importance, the church was built between 1872-1873 in neo-Gothic style, on the site of another Roman Catholic church built in 1787. Along with the celebration of 100 years of existence of Steierdorf, the church was also consecrated on June 8, 1873.  A year later, the three bells made in the royal foundry of the craftsman Ignatz Hilzer in Wiener Neustadt were consecrated and baptized. text source: turism.cjcs.ro photo source: Google Maps - Agenția 360 România

The wooden church in Ersig is dedicated to the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" and is a historical monument. The church dedicated to the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" was built in 1713 on the ruins of an older church, founded in the 15th century. Priest George Nicorescu, in 1928, through an official act sent to the Museum of Timisoara, specifies that: "the Romanian Orthodox church was built in 1713, the year it is inscribed on the wooden pillar of the wall of the Holy Church". Unfortunately, this sign is no longer preserved due to repeated renovations and the rebuilding of the church in 1979. text source: episcopiacaransebesului.ro photo source: Google Maps - Agenția 360 România

The wooden church from Calina is located in Dognecea commune in Caras-Severin county and is a historical monument. It was originally built in Ciudanovița, and from there it was taken to Greoni to reach Calina in 1780. The constructive system used to build the church is also found in other churches in Banat, being known as "Fachwerk" (the timber frame system or in popular parlance, the "puppy" system). This system was invented with the aim of saving wood, the places of worship built after it having the outer walls covered with plasters of earth mixed with chaff and chopped straw. source

The church of Cireşa commune was originally made of wood. The exact circumstances in which this church disappeared are not known, but it is known that the current place of worship was built in 1821 and was consecrated for the first time in 1830. Considering that the church became more and more inadequate, with the support of the local authorities, in 1995, an annex was built on the western side of the church, and today, this is where the epitropy of the church and the flags are located. In 2006, the church was consecrated by PS Lucian, Bishop of Caransebeș. text source: episcopiacaransebesului.ro photo source: Facebook Parohia Ortodoxa Ciresa

The church is the building that closes Hercules Square to the north. It was built between 1836-1838, during the reign of Emperor Ferdinand I and replacing an older Catholic chapel that was on the same land, but which was destroyed in the 18th century by the Turks. At the Catholic Chapel, Empress Elizabeth with her entourage attended the services of Passion Week, on Easter days, as well as on the other Sundays during her six-week stay at the Herculaneum Baths, from 1887. Between 1997-2000, the church was renovated.
